The Skill Development for Employability Enhancement programme is conceived by P N Panicker Vigyan Vikas Kendra. The Kendra has identified the Information Technology (IT) sector as one of the potential areas for self-employment/co-employment/wage employment. To achieve the same, P N Panicker Vigyan Vikas Kendra had established Knowledge Centres in the state.
The Knowledge Centres act as the spring board, where rural entrepreneurial development programmes, camps and seminars on various self-employment schemes, training programmes on income generating activities, etc., are being arranged for generation of wealth. Various programmes like paper jewellery making, fabric painting, etc., were conducted in different parts of Kerala.
